GOSFORD BLUES FESTIVAL

ANOTHER LOCAL BLUES FESTIVAL HAS COME AND GONE; WILL THIS BE THE LAST? NO SPONSORSHIP FROM THE COUNCIL THIS YEAR, THEY'D RATHER WASTE MILLIONS ON FAILED INVESTMENTS IN AMERICAN JUNK MORTGAGES. GREAT LINEUP AGAIN, THIS TIME AT THE RSL. WHO'S IDEA WAS IT TO HAVE NOTHING TO SIT ON? A 12 HOUR MARATHON ON YOUR FEET ? NOT GOOD ENOUGH. THE LINEUP INCLUDED FOREDAY RIDERS, AS GOOD AS I HAVE EVER HEARD THEM, JIM CONWAY MAL EASTICK, THE USUAL VERY HIGH STANDARD, DON HOPKINS AND THE GORGEOUS ALISON PENNEY, TWO OF THE BEST KEYBOARD PLAYERS IN THE COUNTRY,PHIL EDGELEY, CHASE THE SUN,BEACHHEAD, WITH ROD SOUNDING AS GOOD AS EVER, AND THE VERY REV. GARY DALE IN SUBLIME TOUCH ON GUITAR PLUS MANY MORE, AND ALL IT COULD ATTRACT WAS A FEW HUNDRED PUNTERS.
