FROM PREVIOUS POSTS, YOU MAY HAVE PICKED UP ON THE FACT THAT I THINK DRUMMERS ARE PROBABLY A WASTE OF STAGE SPACE WITH TODAY'S NEW TECHNOLOGY. I AM ASSURED, THAT EVEN THOUGH THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLIER MODELS, DRUM MACHINES ARE THE WAY TO GO. I HAVE LISTENED TO "the HEAD", AND ROB ASKEW'S BAND, AND THEY DON'T HAVE DRUMMERS. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS, THIS ONE TAKES UP ABOUT THE SAME SPACE AS A DRUM KIT. IT LOOKS VERY NICE IN THE BEDROOM STUDIO, AND MARGARET WAS HAPPY TO MOVE TO THE SPARE BEDROOM, TO AVOID STEAM BURNS.

Now come on Dave, that's not just a drum machine. I can distinctly see organ pipes on it. It plays actual musical notes simultaneously with bashing stretched skins with sticks - something I've never seen a human drummer do. It's more like the technological great grandad of my sequencing software.

Rob, I was actually trying to make a semi serious point. Yes, it is like a sequencer, same applies to old mechanical music boxes. Old organs were only a forerunner to synths.
