Their bassist Roy Shipway was in another final-year class. These guys were partly responsible for inspiring the formation of Me'n'Mine - they were in a working band when we were just dreaming about it.<BR/>Their lead guitarist Wayne "Spooky" Rountree was a guitar legend in those days, although he eventually switched to bass which he still plays. I used to fill in for him and eventually replaced him in another of Wayne's bands, Gopher Broke.<BR/>I've also worked with another of the Torquays, Bob Jones, who is in Wayne's current band, the Blues Busters, along with ex-Flake Billy Taylor and John Russell.<BR/><BR/>RobAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
